We will once again host the Senior Olympics. This special event brings together an average of 130 senior citizens from across WV and neighboring states.
Older Americans Month (OAM) is a national observance established in 1963 by President John F. Kennedy as “Senior Citizens Month” to honor older adults and address their needs!
Every May, Older Americans Month celebrates the contributions of older adults and reaffirms our commitment to serving them. The 2026 theme, “Champion Your Health,” highlights prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility as cornerstones of healthy aging. ACL.gov/OAM
